Veterinary Technician National Exam
Most veterinary facilities will prefer to employ staffers who are licensed professionals. In the field of veterinary technology, the Veterinary Technician National Examination or VTNE is the first step to being certified as either a Licensed Vet Tech or Certified Vet Tech (depending on the state you are certified in).
Rules and Policies
- You must conform to the registration process by filling out the application form completely and accurately. This is the first step in order for you to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination.
- The testing payment for VTNE only would usually cost about $230.00. This might vary, depending on the state licensing board you are applying with. Interested and qualified applicants may address their payments to the state licensing board.
- If there are modifications in the contact information of the applicant, one should inform the licensing board’s office to update those changes in their file.
- The applicants must be graduates or will graduate within four months in order to be qualified in June Veterinary Technician National Examination dates.
- The January Veterinary Technician National Examination date is for the applicants who have already graduated. This means that the applicants have already accomplished their degree course and their degree titles have been given.
- The passing rate for the Veterinary Technician National Examination is 425. Most licensing boards don’t release results over the phone, so you will either have to wait for your notice or check personally.
- The Board office is responsible for the updates to the state of an applicant’s file through mail. When the Board has already received your application forms, they will send you updates from time to time until the file has been accomplished
- The applicants’ file must be accomplished seven days before the date of examination. If the application is not finished, the applicant will not be entitled to take the examination and would have to apply for a different date of examination.
